Java Kids Playarea

Relax with a cup of coffee while your little one plays nearby in our playarea designed for kids birth to six- years-old. He or she can dress up in one of our many fairy princess or super hero costumes, play in our pretend kitchen, put on a puppet show, or climb and slide on our brightly colored play structure, shop in the store or hang-out in our new playhouse! For younger tots, we have an infant area with soft blocks, convex mirrors and beaded toys that will fascinate the youngest of children. While not intended to be an indoor play arena, our playarea has so much to do that your child will want to stay even longer than you will.

With so many kids enjoying our playarea, we have started supervised play Monday-Friday from 10-2. There you'll find experienced caregivers who are excited to be a part of Java Kids. The supervisor is there to organize games and activities, keep the area safe and tidy, and give parents a little break from their hectic day.

We ask that everyone abide by the following playarea rules:

  • Parents may not leave the Java Mama premises without their child.
  • During supervised play, please listen for your name in case your child needs a break or use the restroom. At all other times, please be sure to keep an eye on your own child.
  • Your child may enjoy the playarea for up to two hours between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Kids are welcome to take a break and re-enter during that period.
  • No more than 12 kids (not including children under one) may use the playarea at any given time (during supervised play). This is for everyone's safety and sanity.
  • The playarea is designed for children up to six-years-old, with the infant area for children up to two-years-old. There is still plenty for older kids to do -- just ask to see our free game selection and craft supplies. In the near future, we hope to set aside a special area just for the elementary set.
  • Please no sick children.
  • And most importantly, HAVE FUN!

Playarea Prices

Supervised Play Prices
Monday-Friday, 9am-2pm (Supervisor starts at 10am)
$2.50 day pass ($3.00 beginning August 18th)
$1.00 per paying sibling ($1.50 beginning August 18th)
Children under one are free.

Unsupervised Play Prices
Monday-Friday 2pm-7:30pm; Saturday and Sunday all day
$1.00 per child ($1.50 beginning August 18th)
Children under one are free.

Monthly Passes
$15.00 monthly pass
$8.00 per paying sibling

Money from the playarea goes to equipment maintenance, staffing, and the upkeep of toys.

Free Activities (with supervised play purchase):
Tuesdays: 11am movie time
Thursdays: Arts and Crafts from 10am-1pm
Fridays: Activity day! A different activity every week...games, stories, playdo, etc.
